The Past
Once this land was inhabited by four communities of humans from different lands. Each of these people bought horses from their own homeland. These people were very proud of their horses and refused to let them interbreed with horses from another country, after all why would you want to dirty the pure blood of these animals that represented your homeland? Eventually the humans left, many taken by disease, some just returned to their homelands, but most left their horses here… casting them into the wild to be as they wish.
The Present
The ancestors of these horses still roam this land today, still just as close minded as the humans that owned them. They have lived here for generations, keeping their blood pure by breeding with only their own kind. There are many sad instances in memory of mares being cast out from herds for dirtying her blood by breeding with another kind, purposefully or not. However just recently new horses have wandered here from other lands, unaware of the narrow-mindedness that exists here, some will fit naturally into this way of life, others will not understand but still go along with it… and some will abhor this strange way of life and work towards changing the century old mindset of these proud horses.
The Future
Is in your hooves. Will the current regime stay and slowly eliminate those who are not pure? Will a new breed claim a land as their own and increase the power of the Pure bloods? Or will those of mixed blood and their supporters band together to overthrow the leaders of this land and encourage free breeding?
